Buying for Fleischer Sport for the 2010-11 season was not only easy, but so much fun. Fleischer Sport is dedicated to providing apparel that you will not find anywhere else in Steamboat and after hearing our clients’ needs last season, we couldn’t be more thrilled with what’s in store. You will still find the same high fashion and diversity in Hell Is for Heroes, and Fleischer Sport has picked up a few more functional and unique lines that are new to us and to Steamboat. We are proud to introduce the following ski apparel:
Parajumpers, new to Fleischer Sport this ski season, though not new to the ski industry, is an Italian line whose company is named after the highly trained men of the 210th Rescue Squadron based in Anchorage, Alaska, and known for their extreme rescues and recoveries in some of the most remote parts of the globe. With these men as the backbone of the line’s inspirations, you’ll find everything from lifestyle jackets and vests to après ski fur-lined sweatshirts, to efficient ski apparel within the store for this season. An absolute must have from Parajumpers is the Women’s 3rd Skimaster Jacket ($970) and matching Mistress pants in milk and sky ($470) with brown leather detail. You don’t like the hardware or patches? Well don’t worry; all the hardware and patchwork is removable by Velcro. If you’re looking for more of a spring weather ski outfit, this year we are offering the Skimaster Vest ($730) as well. As the 210th Squadron motto says, “that others may live,” and you’ll want to live every ski day in these gorgeous pieces.
Erin Snow Women’s Ski JacketAnother new line to the store is Erin Snow, whose pieces are smart and sophisticated to please even a high-fashion Prada enthusiast. Based in New York City, this up and coming designer knows how to keep warm as all of the ski apparel is insulated with primaloft. With this line, we wanted to bring in a classic silhouette but still make you stand out on the hill. If you’re looking for a basic jacket that you won’t see on anyone else on the hill, the Edie Jacket in navy with silver hardware detail is definitely the one for you. Paired with the matching Liv Pant, both pieces are 20,000MM waterproof, moisture permeable, breathable, made of a mechanical stretch fabric and at $498 for the jacket and $348 for the pants, you can’t go wrong. These are just two of the pieces of this exciting line. Also look for the Miki legging with satin knee patches; not ski wear but you’ll be turning heads walking around town in these.
Hell Is for Heroes was a perfect fit for Steamboat’s ski town with a Western flair, and this year is no exception. Just like in years past, I personally want everything from this line in my own closet, and for 2010, I may just be able to afford it all. Hell is moving with the times and lowering the cost by using the same factory Parajumpers uses. The construction and functionality of the line remains intact. A must-have this season would have to be the down lifestyle “Cabin Fever” long coat in black with feather detail and detachable fur trim. The nail head detail is simple but edgy; the perfect coat for a night on the town or a girl’s lunch at Hazie’s on top of the mountain. Retailing for $740, it’s less than two times the retail price of any Hell Is For Heroes sportswear from last year.
Stay extra warm all season with the gorgeous Snow Angel line. Whether you need very little underneath, or you require a bit more warmth, we’ve got you covered with fantastic and popular base layers Snow Angel’s Cybersilk and Veluxe. Nearly every piece has a print, so if you need to cruise around the lodge without your outerwear, you can do it with style. As per our customer’s request of offering more loungewear, we grabbed a couple of Snow Angel’s tunics and flare leg pants made of the midweight, superiorly soft Doeskin fabric so you have the opportunity to wear something cozy around your house or condo when you’re resting your ski legs.
We are so excited to announce the addition of the oftenrequested SmartWool this year. The company definitely stands on its own in terms of products, but the color palette is perfectly suited with all of our women’s ski and lifestyle apparel. You’ll find the collection of Chaos hats, Giro & POC helmets and goggles match our apparel so perfectly, you will be tempted to get something new from us from head to toe.
I can’t say enough about our collection this year. Our goal at Fleischer Sport is to bring our customer the best possible product that you will not be able to find anywhere in Steamboat, and we have certainly exceeded even our own expectations this year. We can’t wait for you to see for yourself.
